Here is the solution for customers needing visitor management outside traditional lobby or kiosk stations: PassagePoint Global with the Panasonic Toughbook handheld computer!

In schools where security guards are doing their rounds, student ID's can be scanned to validate student status. At gatehouse or guardhouse sites, visitors, contractors and service providers can be checked in with PassagePoint software, using this compact (5.9" x 7.2") handheld computer.

With PassagePoint Global visitor data on a server, and the handheld Toughbook using the broadband option, all PassagePoint Global visitor management features are available, even in outdoor or remote locations.

Educators know how important it is to provide their students with safety and security that works," stated in a recent Security Dealer & Integrator article titled, Idesco Carves a Path to the Future. The article described an integration solution that Idesco Corp deployed at the Amityville Union Free School District that included STOPware's PassagePoint EDU visitor management solution. The school specifically wanted a software platform that would permit integration with systems to grow with them in the future.

The article discussed how Idesco was in the process of installing a separate visitor management solution at both schools. "Making schools safer for students, staff, and visitors is a primary concern and goal for parents and school administrators throughout the country," said Paul Terschuren, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for STOPware in San Jose, Calif. "Security industry professionals have joined the cause and are working to support their efforts with products and technology that can help make the school a safer environment for all. One specific proactive feature of the visitor management system they will deploy is that school administrators can connect in real time to national and/or local sex offender lists with photos to help take appropriate preventive security measures if required."
